Return of the King: Anticipation is hotting up, nine months before the film's release... |
Billy Boyd, who plays Pippin, told Calgary Sun: "It's incredible. We've started with the best source material and then the script they wrote is probably the best I've ever read. It was so emotional."
Meanwhile, rumors have been rife recently with regards to when we can expect to see the first trailer for Return of the King. It was previously expected as a bonus item on The Two Towers DVD - but alas, this will not be the case.
AICN got word from Peter Jackson: "As far as I'm aware the first ROTK trailer will hit cinemas about May or June. We're not doing a ROTK trailer in The Two Towers DVD - the TT extended DVD has been so complex this year, it would have taken too many resources away from trying to get that finished. It's all very complex and we deemed an early ROTK trailer as simply too much to take on this time around."
Jackson also recently confirmed that ROTK's ending, without spoiling things, will provide a "fitting farewell to such well-loved characters".
So, it's all quiet on the ROTK front, until May. But we're betting there'll be plenty of news to keep us excited until then, so stick with Kikizo to learn all about it...
