Burton Faves Reunite for Corpse Bride
Johnny Depp, Helen Bonham Carter, Christopher Lee and Albert Finney voice roles in the new movie.
Acclaimed director Tim Burton has brought together some of his favourite actors for parts in his upcoming animated feature. The Corpse Bride sees Hollywood talent such as Johnny Depp, Helen Bonham Carter, Christopher Lee and Albert Finney voice roles in the new movie.
Burton is quite familiar with the talent signed up for The Corpse Bride, especially Helen Bonham Carter who he is married to. The director previously worked with Lee in 'Sleepy Hollow' and Finney in 'Big Fish', whereas Depp is currently starring as Willy Wonka in Burton's adaptation of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
The animated feature is based on a 19th Century Russian folktale, where a man mistakenly marries a corpse after performing a wedding ritual. Depp will play the role of the reluctant groom and Bonham Carter will voice the character of the corpse Bride. The film is tentatively scheduled for release in the autumn of 2005.
