With the success of The Lord of the Rings trilogy Hollywood has become enamoured with the world of fantasy of late, Lewis' books have quite a following and many people are banking on the success of a Tinseltown remake. Rumours have swirled as to which superstars will be involved with the project with many linking Nicole Kidman to a role in the series.
Shrek director Andrew Adamson is taking charge of the project and is quite pleased with the progress made so far with the initial film. The first film in the series, 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe', is being filmed in New Zealand and Australia much like The Lord of the Rings series. The continent is currently going through a renaissance of sorts due to the wonderful landscapes it offers and the experienced personnel available following the completion of the Tolkien epic.
