Neal Fredericks, one of the minds behind the Blair Witch Project, was tragically killed in an aviation accident this week. The cameraman was filming aerial shots in the Florida Keys area for a new project when his plane went down, most of the passengers escaped from the wreckage but Fredericks was unable to free himself before the aircraft submerged in the water.
It is suspected that engine trouble was the cause of the accident; earlier people had speculated that bad weather was the cause because of recent hurricane activity in the area. Daniel Zirilli, one of the passengers, dispelled those rumours, 'It was a glorious day. The pilot called us to go out. As far as we know, it was engine failure.'
