Deathlok and Aquaman to Big Screen
More superheroes lined up for Hollywood.
There are more superheroes lined up to take to our screens and save the world once again, this time it's Deathlok and Aquaman to our rescue. Marvel Comics' Deathlok has had a movie adaptation planned for some time now and David Self has recently been drafted in to rewrite the proposed script. On the other hand Warner Bros. have decided to take a chance upon Aquaman and cash in on the comic genre's popularity.
No names have been confirmed for either project but Josh Hartnett is being linked to Deathlok and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has been mentioned in connection with the DC Comics' superhero.
In the case of the WWE wrestler turned actor, this is more than likely to be nothing more than idle speculation because it seems like insiders are confusing Aquaman with Marvel's Submariner character. Johnson was previously being lined up for a role as Namor, but it now seems to be part and parcel of his career that the action star is linked with any superhero role going.
