The Passion of the Clerks
Sequel to cult classic on its way.
One of the cult classics of our time, Clerks, has been lined for a sequel and will pick up ten years after where the original movie left off. The sequel is currently titled The Passion of the Clerks and is set to begin filming in January of next year. Both of the original stars, Jeff Anderson and Brian O'Halloran, have signed on to reprise their roles as well as Jason Mewes who plays the famous stoner, Jay.
The creator and director of the project, Kevin Smith, has high hopes for the project and sees it as a return to form after his previous film's (Jersey Girl) poor performance. The Passion of the Clerks will stand in stark contrast to the original as the sequel has been budgeted for up to five million dollars USD, which completely dwarfs the original movie that was made for twenty seven thousand dollars USD.
