Benjamin Franklin Gates (Nicholas Cage) is a mixture between Indiana Jones and Robert Langdon, a treasure hunter who is left to decipher a stack of clues in a bid to solve the greatest mystery of them all - a war chest hidden by the Founding Fathers after the Revolutionary War.
Its whereabouts are hidden in a series of puzzles, each cunningly concealed in the country's currency and even in the Declaration of Independence.
Despite having all these obstacles to overcome, Gates faces even bigger hurdles in the shape of sinister elements trying to find the chest and the FBI. Will he find the spot marked X or will he simply end up trapped in a maze?
Nicholas Cage is joined by an all-star cast for this epic adventure, including Diane Kruger (Troy), Sean Bean (Troy, Goldeneye), Jon Voight (Manchurian Candidate) and Harvey Keitel (Reservoir Dogs). With this many stars on display, the national treasure at the centre of the film is in danger of being eclipsed!
Follow Gates' quest to discover the hidden war chest, joining him for a rollercoaster ride as he solves one of America's greatest mysteries. Jerry Bruckheimer bankrolls one of 2004's biggest extravaganzas; this movie packs so much oomph that it puts the Fourth of July celebrations to shame!
National Treasure is now showing, stay tuned for our verdict.
