Boring Instinct? More on Sexy Sequel!
After thirteen years, filming of Basic Instinct: Risk Addiction is finally underway in London.
Yes, we've waited thirteen years for the sequel to Paul Verhoeven's classic sexual thriller, Basic Instinct, and his week filming finally got underway in London.
Sharon Stone takes a break from saving the world to return as Catherine Trammell, while the title, Basic Instinct: Risk Addiction, will be directed by Michael Caton-Jones (Doc Hollywood). Stone has lost none of her sex appeal, but there is no sign of Michael Douglas, possibly put off by only being one decade older than his co-star.
Charlotte Rampling (Swimming Pool) co-stars (let's hope she doesn't try to repeat the 'BLT' scene that made Stone so famous), along with David Thewlis (The Big Lebowski) and David Morrissey (Captain Corelli's Mandolin).
Just for good measure, former England soccer-player Stan Collymore will be appearing. He's famous for repeatedly getting into fights, often with girlfriends half his size.
Let's face it, this film won't top the original and probably won't get near. But a good excuse to rent the original - you know, to catch up.
